Ron Jeffries has had to reschedule his visit to Denver next week. Ron will present his talk in two months at the June 27th Agile Denver meeting. On Monday, April 25th, Agile Denver will host Paul Hamill, author of O'Reilly's "Unit Test Frameworks". The meeting will still be held at the Qwest Auditorium in Downtown Denver. Doors open at 6:00pm for networking and refreshments. Agile is a sea change, refocusing software teams on quality and speed. Its impact on the practice of software development is already being compared to that of object-oriented design. Paul will present best practices and new information about a key Agile development practice, Test Driven Development (TDD), and the unit test frameworks and related tools that enable it. Paul's talk will cover:
Paul is a highly experienced software developer with experience developing code using C/C++, Java, and other languages. He has a BS ME from Cornell University and an MS EE from the University of Colorado, and is the published co-author of several academic papers on advanced CAD software. His recent experience includes work on a number of small entrepreneurial software development teams relying on eXtreme Programming (XP) and unit testing methodologies. He is most recently the author of "Unit Test Frameworks" which covers the most commonly used frameworks from the xUnit family, including JUnit for Java, CppUnit for C++, NUnit for .NET, PyUnit for Python, and XMLUnit. |
