Agile Plus DTC

We exist to enable and grow peoples’ professional skills to advance Agile principles in the workplace. We also believe that networking is very important and our group is a great place to meet like minded peers and build relationships. It is important that we all improve our ability to advocate for Agile principles in our workplaces so we also want to be a safe place for people to grow and hone their presentation skills.

We will not exclusively focus on Agile enrichment. However, we plan to weave Agile principles into all that we do as professionals. We will invite speakers and topics from a broad range of specialties (e.g. Product, Development, QA, Agile, Leadership, Advocacy, Teams). We feel that broad understanding of different disciplines and domains make all of us better contributors and teammates.

Typically meets the 1st Thursday of the month at
7400 E. Orchard Rd Suite 120 (lower level),  Greenwood Villiage, CO.  80111

Kanban CoP

The Agile Denver Kanban Community of Practice (CoP) is a forum for those interested in learning more with others about applying lean principles, and concepts of pull and kanban, (flow concepts/queueing systems) to assist with improving and creating predictable business workflow processes. It is a special interest group of the Agile Denver user group, and is associated with the Limited WIP Society, and also with Lean & Kanban University (LKU).

The Agile Denver Kanban CoP started back in June of 2011. We meet monthly, usually the 2nd Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, except for December to help limit our personal WIP during this busy time for most of us.

CoP members must be invited and commit to regular attendance to join our monthly meetings. Contact John Bannister for more information.

We also hold quarterly public meetups, open to anyone.

Agile & Lean Leaders

We are a peer community of senior technology leaders—spanning product, operations, agile coaching, and engineering leadership—who seek to learn, grow, and exchange ideas beyond our day-to-day environments. Our members are Directors to C-level, all leading technology and software teams in complex, fast-moving organizations who value people over things.

As Agile & Lean Leaders, we embrace both meanings of the term:

  • Leaders who apply Agile and Lean principles to guide teams and organizations through change with adaptability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

  • Leaders who shape the future of Agile & Lean leadership itself—mentors, thought leaders, and contributors to the evolving body of knowledge.

Our purpose is to:

  • Connect with other senior technology leaders who navigate similar strategic and executive challenges.

  • Learn from diverse perspectives—drawing on Agile, Lean, and other leadership models to tackle the real-world problems we face.

  • Advance leadership thinking by developing, sharing, and potentially publishing new insights and strategies.

  • Support each other as mindful, intentional professionals, leading with knowledge, calm, and clarity in high-stakes environments.

  • Explore Lean principles alongside Agile to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve flow in technology-driven organizations.

By engaging with this group, we strengthen our ability to lead transformational change, influence at the executive level, and shape the future of Agile and Lean leadership in technology.

We meet in person monthly, typically on the 3rd Wednesday, near the Cherry Creek area, skipping December. Members are asked to commit to attending a minimum of four events per year, and must be at the Director level or above.
